Ultherapy-A Non-Surgical Way for A Face Lifting Process

As we all know there is no way you can stop the ageing process and this is going to be frustrating at times. However, with all the advanced technologies coming up, it has become possible to slow down the ageing process. So, here we are going to talk about Ultherapy, which is a new process for Facelifting.

A surgical option for facelifting is always available, but many people with sensitive skin were looking for a less invasive option for this skin tightening. So, a team of good experts came up with a therapy named Ultherapy which is a non-surgical way of face-lifting. At Retens, they use a Reten’s Medical Ultrasound knife treatment which makes the Ultherapy safe and sound.

What is it?

Ultherapy is one such non-surgical alternative that is used to counteract the signs of ageing. This includes wrinkles, sagging skin, as well as drooping of the brow area. It is one of the FDA-approved technologies which improves the production of collagen that will give that young look for you.

How does it work?

Ultherabased therapy is a treatment, which uses ultrasound energy and focuses mainly on the area beneath the skin. Using the right temperature, it goes beyond the three different layers such as:

  • Superficial wrinkles
  • Muscles
  • Skin

The ultrasound energy provides elasticity to the tissues and stimulates collagen that results in firmer skin, less sagging and very few wrinkles.

What areas can be affected by Ultherapy?

It is perfect for skin lifting in the following areas:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Jowls
  • Under the chin
  • Chest/decolletage

Another treatment that is offered is Ultherapy 1.5 mm. This is mainly used in delicate areas like:

  • Eyebrows
  • Around the eyes
  • Around the mouth
  • Lips

Who is the right candidate for it?

An ideal candidate for this therapy includes:

  • A person in good health
  • Having a good amount of skin elasticity
  • Who is having mild to moderate signs of skin ageing
  • Who has got mild to moderate droopiness in the skin

During the consultation, your doctor will check concerns, check your skin and then determine whether this therapy will be good for you. If a patient has a severe complaint about the procedure, then the surgical facelift is a good option.

How to prepare for this procedure?

You need to prepare for this procedure by doing regular exercises, eating and drinking well and having proper work out routine. Make sure you wear no make-up in the targeted area and keep it clean. You might take some painkiller medicines before the procedure begins as prescribed by your physician.

What is the procedure?

Firstly, your physician will clean that particular area in case of any oil or residue. Then they would apply the ultrasound gel. An ultrasound device is then placed on the skin and then an ultrasound viewer is used to adjust the device to the appropriate setting. Ultrasound energy is then transferred to the targeted area. In case of pain, pain medication will be given. In the end, the applicator will be cleared the skin.

The whole procedure will take about 60 to 90 minutes.

The Ultherapy effect can be seen within some days depending on your skin’s ability to produce the collagen.
