Find A Suitable Hospital
If you have a history of heart conditions in your family or you are already suffering from one, you will need to find a suitable reputable hospital close to where you live. If you look for cardiac catheterization treatment, Thailand has many excellent hospitals where you can have tests and receive treatment, safe in the knowledge you are in excellent hands. Watch Your Diet
Many visitors and foreigners living in Thailand enjoy the food, and you can pick up delicious food on the street for a nominal price. However, much of the food people eat, especially off the street, is fried, which is not healthy for us, particularly when we have a heart condition. It is possible to eat healthily in Thailand, but it will require some effort. Many dishes will also have high amounts of sugar and salt, so avoiding unhealthy food when living in Thailand can considerably improve your overall health.
Avoid Drinking Too Much
It is also easy to increase your alcohol consumption when living in Thailand, especially when it is hot, so this is something that you will need to watch. Limit the amount you drink each week and try and not drink too much when you are enjoying a beer or three. You can still go out and enjoy yourself, but avoid drinking too much, and if you need something to occupy your time, try taking up a hobby.
Get Plenty Of Exercise
You will also need to do regular exercise to remain healthy when living in Thailand or anywhere else. Try walking instead of getting a taxi or motorbike, and climb the stairs instead of taking the lift. If you like golf, there are plenty of excellent courses throughout the country, and there are also many air-conditioned gyms you can visit to get that much-needed exercise.
